PINK CHAMPAGNE FASHION vintage dress: Clothes Vine turban; Atomic Warehouse vintage green bakelite bangles and ring; Charlotte Russe shoes; vintage brass belt, bangles, earrings, and dragon brooch.
I've always been enamored by the color green. You can read more about my obsession in this post from nearly a year ago. Wow, I can't believe I wore that outfit so recently---it's amazing how quickly one's style can develop in 12 months. What I didn't mention in last year's blog post, was that I wore said ensemble to Sunday morning church service...not my parents church that we regularly attended (and where the congregation was accustomed to my crazy outfits), but to a completely different church we visited for the day. Hey, it was Draco Malfoy's birthday, and I wasn't about to back out of wearing a strange green snake outfit!
Speaking of church, last night I dreamed that I was visiting my parents' church. I was wearing this ridiculous floor-dragging skirt and green cape, with a 1940s flower pot style hat, and giant floral platforms. Needless to say, I was stumbling all over the place and tripping over my hemline. Perhaps that dream was based on reality.
You can buy this dress on my Etsy store for just $34.99!

PINK CHAMPAGNE FASHION vintage gown; Girl with the Flower wreath; Atomic Warehouse rhinestone bracelets; Charlotte Russe shoes; Target tights; vintage gloves and earrings.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Been keeping super busy with my classes and newly-opened Etsy shop. Thank you for all your support on my vintage business endeavor---I can't wait to see where this opportunity takes me!
I centered this outfit around this beautiful flower wreath from the multi-talented Zoe Schlater of Girl with the Flower. Tempted to create a colorful Frida Kahlo-inspired outfit, I went with a simple black evening ensemble to further showcase the multi-colored vibrancy of the wreath.
A huge fan of her crazy, kooky style, I was elated when she started selling her gorgeous hand-crafted wreaths on Etsy! Her prices are incredibly reasonable (most wreaths average around $30), and her pieces are one-of-a-kind and made with love. Check out her store here!
You can also find the black velvet gown I'm wearing on Etsy here, for a mere $32.99!

Atomic Warehouse jumpsuit/kaftan, brooch (on turban), and ring; vintage turban, earrings, and cigarette holder; vintage Goldette necklace; Charlotte Russe shoes.
I haven't had this long of a gap between posts in years. My computer was in the shop for a week, plus two planned photo shoots were postponed, hence a lack of pictures. Please feel free to crown me worst blogger of the year! (Speaking of winning a tiara, I have some exciting news to share in an upcoming post!)
In these pictures, the background and decor were my primary starting point. Hence, a bohemian wardrobe inspired by the 1970s. Exotic glamor is epitomized in a cloth-of-gold (gold polyester, that is) jumpsuit and embroidered kaftan, complete with a velvet turban and an access of statement jewels.
As you may have noticed, many of my recent photo shoots (to include the one featured in this post) were in collaboration with Nikki A. Johnson Photography. Punctual, peppy, and prepared, she's one of my favorite photographers with whom to shoot. Check out her mad skills here and here. Lucky for you ladies here in central Pennsylvania, Nikki and I have teamed up to host a giveaway for a free modeling session and photo shoot. Wardrobe styling services will be provided by yours truly, and the final images will be featured here on PINK CHAMPAGNE.
To enter, simply follow three easy steps:
1. Follow PINK CHAMPAGNE on Google Friend Connect and Facebook.
2. "Like" Nikki A. Johnson Photography on Facebook.
3. Leave a wall post on Nikki's page describing your ideal photo shoot.
Winner will be selected at random on Wednesday, May 23rd. Let the games begin, and may the odds be for ever in your favor!

Head-to-toe vintage!
I'm sure you're all prepared for my typical "I've been so busy...sorry for the long gap in posts!" introduction. But seriously, my life is pretty overwhelming right now! In addition to the usual grind (work, classes, deep dark secretive surprise plans, etc.)
I spent most of this week having a lovely visit with my family. I decided to take advantage of the fact that I have a beautiful sister (two, in fact, but I only had time for one shoot), hence this self-produced photo shoot. Inspired by the 1975 film Picnic at Hanging Rock, my poor sister was dolled up in a vintage Gunne Sax-style dress, complete with a fringed shawl and cameo. Most of my personal outfits always have a lot of contrasting colors and bling, so I wanted to keep this relatively ethereal and elegant.
For those of you long-term readers, you'll probably remember my plans for an online Etsy store several years ago. I've been hemming and hawing, toying with the idea ever since, but never actually doing anything about it. Well guess what? I'll be opening my own online vintage Etsy store later this month! I've been collecting vintage clothing and accessories for over five years, and can't wait to share my finds. I'll also be posting items from my personal collection, so keep an eye out---you might see an item previously featured on le blog for sale! And of course, there will always be a discount code for my beloved blog readers!

Atomic Warehouse belt; Charlotte Russe pumps; vintage dress and jewelry.
Good morning, lovelies! I hope the fresh spring tide season is treating you well. I've experienced a big "spring awakening" (lame pun to previous post) and have been running around doing a million different things and preparing for a millions different projects. I do not exaggerate such craziness. My heart is bursting to share with you these ongoing secrets, but alas and alack these red lipsticked lips must remain sealed!
Concerning these photos, I must say I truly adore this dress. There's an interesting story behind its acquisition into my wardrobe. I originally saw this number years ago at a vintage clothing store, but at that point in my life the length was too intimidating and my fourteen year-old figure was a tad bit small for said frock's womanly style. Every time I revisited the little shop I would loving eye the dress, regretfully acknowledging that it wasn't a good match yet secretly praying for the day I would fit perfectly in its purple depths. Years went by, and the vintage store closed. Last month, I happened across a completely different vintage clothing store and, lo and behold, there was my dress! Apparently, they had bought out the first store's inventory, equaling a very happy Hope Adela. This is a truly amazing piece. The figure hugging bodice, the flowing skirt, the unique color=LOVE. It's so wonderful when you find a piece of clothing that screams your name in every way possible.
On top of that, this dress is pretty much a carbon copy of what Juanita de Cordoba wears in Alfred Hitchock's 1969 Topaz. (I started drooling after this dress the minute it appeared on screen.)
Inspiration for this outfit came from my beautiful and magical blogger friend Chromium Dumb Belle. This lady is a true gem of fashion and art---a must-see for any creatively minded person!
I have to credit the hairstyle to my mother. She's been rocking the side bun since age 20. A 'do that occasionally made me cringe as a young teenager, I'm now following in her footsteps. Like mother, like daughter!
Newsflash: I've recently acquired some amazing jewelry (hello, polka dot bakelite and turquoise squash blossom necklace)...can't wait to share photos!
Ohh, and a big shout out to all my new followers and friends! I recently became in contact with Sammy Davis of Sammy Davis Vintage. A fellow Pennsyltuckian, her bright and cheerful personality is as fabulous as her chic sense of style. This girl is all about "spreading the vintage love"...check out her blog and do likewise!

Spring Awakening

Vintage dress and necklace; Jessica Simpson hat; Atomic Warehouse earrings.
I'm so excited that spring has finally arrived! Here's to the scent of moist earth, the melody of birds singing, and the feel of a fresh breeze blowing through one's hair. I was fortunate to experience all of these delights on my recent shoot, and wanted to capture the magic of spring in a slightly alternative and dark manner. (Hence the noir makeup combined with the dreamy bohemian dress and hat.)
I know I'm always bemoaning how busy my life is, but now things seem busier than ever. So many plans are in the works in multiple aspects of my life that I feel like I'm physically being pulled in a million directions! I can't give away any details, but I'm sure you guys will understand my hectic state once I finally do reveal some of these projects. Hopefully things will sort themselves out soon and I'll be able to successfully juggle all my apples and oranges.

Atomic Warehouse skirt, necklace (worn in hair), and bangles; black Fashion Style Ankle Boots from Oasap.com; vintage blouse, belt and earrings.
Hello, everyone! Here are some lovely romantic photos to feed your spring fancy. I'm not sure how I feel about the editing. Something went wrong with the saturation on my photo editing program, which gives these pictures an ultra saturated, whited-out look. My clothes were reflecting onto the plain white set, hence the airbrushed pink and green background in some of the photos. What do you think?
Special thanks to Oasap.com for sending me these lovely black Fashion Style Ankle Boots!

Vintage skirt, petticoat, belt, bangles, earrings and sunglasses; necklace from NYC street vendor; Forever21 tights; Charlotte Russe shoes; thrifted top.
My boss was kind enough to quickly snap these pictures last week before we headed out hunting for vintage treasures. I love throwing pops of teal and gold in with a subtle earth-tone ensemble. The combination of the antiquated door and rich wardrobe color scheme made for a perfect throwback to the Byzantine era.
Hope you all enjoy this Leap Year day!
